In this role I'm responsible for building and managing a network of 200+ change management experts across our regions to support business leaders during the world wide integration of FedEx and TNT on the people side of change. By carefully supporting the people side of change we aim to minimise the integration's impact on productivity and reduce the time the integration will take. We make an effort to involve people on the transition journey from the very start and are therefore much more likely to implement successful change. At the same time, because of our focus on leadership, we're building a change management capability throughout the organisation to ensure we are able to lead business transformations from an organisational and people perspective in the long run.

In the role of Sales Development & Improvement Manager AMEA I was part of the AMEA Sales Management Team and responsible for embedding a new way of working in the TNT Sales organisation in Asia, Middle-East and Africa. In 2015 I visited most countries in the AMEA region to observe, listen, understand, train and coach with the purpose of getting this new Sales management approach embraced and embedded. The key to making this approach successful was my strong and effective network of positive working relationships with the stakeholder groups and my ability to tailor the approach per country and culture. It was a real privilege to work with Sales leaders from so many different countries on improving their daily way of working and communicating, in order to better support our front line and improve results.

In this role I was responsible for the design and implementation of a variety of Learning & Development solutions for the Sales force of TNT in the AMEA (Asia, Middle-East & Africa) region, ranging from a complete internal induction framework for new hires to e-learning modules and selling skills training.

At NoLimits, a Singapore-based consultancy firm that specializes in leadership development, team development and coaching, I had the opportunity to make a difference for people on their personal leadership journey, by designing and executing development programs tailored to the organization's/team's/individual's needs (e.g. class room training, gamified application development, coaching).

As consultant at BR-Groep I studied collective behavior in client organisations (both multinationals and Dutch government). I analysed behavioural patterns, (un)written rules and underlying dynamics, and their effects on organisational performance and organisational learning. This analysis was the basis for designing and implementing tailor made change interventions in order to achieve sustainable organisational change, in both behavior and business results. I had the roles of researcher (in-depth interviews on motivation and engagement), consultant, project manager and facilitator.

Niek Karsmakers and I wrote a book on personal leadership and making career decisions, called No Guts, No Story. We interviewed 30 Dutch CEOs on their career choices and advice. We combined their tips and tricks with (scientific) literature on the topic and our personal experience into a formula for Personal Leadership. The book inspires readers to take responsibility for their own lives: discover their talents and fulfill their dreams. You only have one life, so you'd better make it a great story!In 2012 and 2013 Niek and I performed workshops and lectures on personal leadership and related topics such as making career decisions, generation Y and attracting/developing/retaining talent. Published in March 2012 (only available in Dutch).

At management consultancy firm Kirkman Company I completed a two-year consultancy traineeship, called YSE (Young Sourcing Executives) Program. In this traineeship I worked as a consultant for (international) client organizations four days a week, the fifth day I spent on personal development through training, coaching and internal assignments (e.g. recruiting new trainees or developing our value propositions).

For 10 months I was operationally responsible for founding We Beat The Mountain (a company producing and selling products made from recycled materials), a spin-off of Kirkman Company. Results: a healthy organisation, first products released and a team of seven employees.
