I work for CARU containers, a global container trader, founded in 2000. With Dutch grassroots. CARU operates with small teams all over the world. From US, to Latin-Amerika, to Europe, middle East….. and still growing.Starting out at the beginning as Credit Practitioner was challenging, but therefore a great experience. Caru gave me the opportunity to follow studies and workshops and also to create all processes needed to monitor and follow-up, what in my opinion is one of the most important things in credit management. It has given me much growth as a credit professional, but also on a personal level, which I hope to continue in coming years.In practical sense my work proceeds in supporting Sales with credit advise up front, monitoring the outstanding’s and take actions when needed. Furthermore I take care of all needed actions and communications with debtors, account managers, curators, and advocates. Every month I also take care of reports regarding outstanding’s and DSO.Trough all these years I have experienced a lot of change, as well in our Company, as in Credit Management. Systems, technical and digital, developments are getting more important every day. Personally I am excited to see what will happen and am convinsed that the human touch will always be important as well.
