I graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in April 2018, with a thesis entitled “Selective Laser Melting of AlSi10Mg Alloy: Definition of Ad Hoc Heat Treatments and Evaluation of Laser Weldability“.From May2018 to April 2019 I worked in the R&D department at Fontana Pietro S.p.A. where I mainly dealt with metallurgical characterization of aluminium alloys and product development through additive manufacturing technologies.From May 2019 to October 2019 I worked as research fellow at Politecnico di Milano. I dealt with the creation of three-dimensional reality-based surveys of objects of various sizes. For this reason, reverse engineering techniques have been thoroughly employed.From November 2019 to May 2023 I was PhD Candidate in Architecture Built Environment and Construction Engineering. My project aimed at integrating industrial and metallurgical technologies into the archaeological research. In particular, the main case study was related to computed tomography and to the creation of 3D models of high density objects contained inside ancient Egyptian mummies by means of this technology. The objective was to obtain such digital reconstruction by means of an innovative hybrid computed tomograph that combine a medical gantry structure with an industrial source-detector group, specifically designed for non-destructive testing. In addition to the study of this technology, the research also included an in-depth analysis of temperature variations and absorbed dose (using thermoluminescence dosimeters) of ad hoc samples. Finally, nondestructive testing simulations have been performed by means of the software CIVA.Since June 2023 I am the R&A referent for the BiW in the Lamborghini System Engineering. I deal with the product and production requirements of the new models and with the pre-feasibility analyses of the BiW parts.
