Excess of 350 determinations issued;Development assessment of a large number of complex development applications including large scale residential subdivisions involving dual zoned residential and E3: Environmental Management zoned land, residential flat buildings, industrial activities etc.; Preparation of delegated reports in addition to Integrated Hearing Assessment Panel (IHAP) and Joint Regional Planning Panel (JRPP) Reports. These reports are much more complex than those prepared for Councillors and are reviewed by peers in the field. This is a result of the renowned bad practices that came to light prior to my employment; Member of the Wollongong Development Control Plan (WDCP) 2009 review panel. This involved correcting errors within the original WDCP document and indicating areas that required review and discussion. Mock assessments were undertaken to test the proposed changes; Acting Senior Development Project Officer on a regular basis in which I mentored two (2) staff and reviewed the delegated reports undertaken by fellow Development Project Officers; Duty planner days in which all phone and counter enquiries are received and appropriate planning advice is given; and Completion of local government courses and NERG Seminars.

At completion of my contract, Council had less than 400 current applications to assess; I assessed a wide range of applications involving subdivision, commercial and industrial units, dual occupancies and the use of telephone booths as an advertising structure; and A minimum of one day per week was assigned to a ‘duty planner’ day in which I received all phone and counter enquiries relating to Town Planning matters.
