Senior Coordinating Attorney, Legalhealth Housing Project
Current-Staff legal clinics at Jacobi Medical Center and Montefiore family clinic, whereby social workers refer low-income patients and our attorneys meet with patients for in depth intake, roughly 20 patients a week -Represent low-income clients in housing court, public housing authority hearings, social security hearings, immigration proceedings, New York City Public Assistance and public benefit hearings -Draft applications to USCIS for undocumented domestic violence and/or crime victims-Research and draft responses and memorandum to potentially devastating new laws enacted by the Trump administration, namely public charge laws and mixed status households receiving Section 8 assistance-Educate healthcare workers on the services provided by legal medical partnerships, including housing law, income maximization and immigration law
