I'm leading the design and simulation activities as Chief Engineer, focusing on the develpoment of new hybrid powertains from concept phase to production.After completing my PhD in mechanical engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, I focused on CFD for internal combustion engines as a Researcher / Assistant Professor. I then applied my experience in research and modelling to the industrial world. As an Innovation Specialist on an Alfa Romeo project for Maserati Spa, I contributed to the development of new, high-power density V6 and 4-cylinder engines of Giulia and Stelvio, Alfa Romeo cars.I then joined Aston Martin to lead the Advanced Powertrain Team. Focused on the development of new technologies, from the concept to the job 1 phase, I supported vehicle engineering in the performance and fuel economy studies. As responsible for the simulation activities concerning the powertrain, I managed the thermodynamic and thermal management aspects, the structural investigations and the dynamic analysis.I was also responsible of the mechanical development of the engine and P&E activities during the early stages of the engine definition, coordinating a testing team.
