An experienced Lawyer with a demonstrated history of working in the legal services industry. Skilled in Legal advices, Personal Injury Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Legal Research and advocacy resulting in a Strong legal professional with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Queensland University of Technology. Past positions includes, a role as a Judge Associate (2008) to His Honour Judge Michael Forde (DCJ) District Court Qld and 3 years within the Magistrate Court under the direction of ex Chief Stipendiary Magistrate Diane Fingleton prior to admission. Admission was achieved in 2012 at which time I joined Crown Law. In June 2017, I left Crown Law to take up the full time position of Legal counsel at the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health ("IUIH"). IUIH is a non profit Indigenous community controlled organisation that provides leading primary and allied health care services to our Indigenous community members throughout South East Qld. This employment was on the basis that an integrated Health Justice Partnership be established to provide exclusive legal services to IUIH clients. My role involves heading up and working collaboratively with my colleague to establish such services and provide appropriate legal training as required. The role is challenging but provides immeasurable rewards daily. I am currently working at QCAT as a sessional member, following res as an ordinary member and Adjudicator within the mcd jurisdiction.As a member I have gained experience in all jurisdictions, but primarily protective jurisdictions of child safety, guardianship and occupational regulations. This role has provided an excellent opportunity to hone my drafting skills, and decision making.
