Highlight of Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Research and Policy Analysis: 4 years’ experience conducting research, synthesizing collected data and using information to form conclusions; recent experience conducting research, analyzing existing policy, and producing policy recommendations for a variety of areas • Legislative Analysis: Recent experience identifying issues and opportunities for legislative and regulatory changes, and analyzing the potential impact of those changes; 1.5 years’ experience reviewing tax policy appeals to ensure they were compliant with legislation• Data and Financial Analysis: Recent experience analyzing data to assess cost benefit of policy and program areas• Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis: Recent experience analyzing data to assess cost benefit of policy and perform program evaluations • Verbal Communication: 4 years’ experience presenting and communicating information, as well as facilitating discussion and contribution with individuals with different backgrounds and opinions• Written Communication: 5 years’ experience writing research papers, reports, and legal documents; recent experience writing policy documents and communicating recommendations to policy makers• Stakeholder Engagement: meeting and collaborating with stakeholders, gathering feedback, and using input to inform policy recommendations• Editing and Proofreading: 6 years’ experience editing, formatting, and proofreading legal, financial and policy documents in government setting• Economic and Financial Analysis: recent experience using economic and financial frameworks to analyze potential tax policy tools• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Bilingual (English and French)
