Hello my name is Simone McKinney and I am a junior finance major from New Orleans, Louisiana. I am extremely passionate about education and want to help minority communities through creating my own financial literacy program. I have practiced this through being an extern for The Home Depot Strategic Business Program and being a fellow for with the Black Venture Capital Consortium. I am an individual that is passionate about the role of leadership. When getting involved in organizations, I immediately find ways in which I can assert my skills in order to better enhance an organizations needs. I have demonstrated those qualities by being a leader in Revolt Incorporated, The International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi, Howard University Investment Group, and other organizations. Furthermore, I am interested in a career and opportunities in Investment/Commercial Banking, Real Estate, and being a Financial advisor. I obtain skills such as leadership, event planning, social media management, 7 years of Spanish, Microsoft Excel, and Problem Solving that make me qualified for such positions. Additionally, I am devoted to develop on such skills and gain professional insight and experience on each career field. I am excited to use my resources to my fullest potential!
