An experienced Arts and Cultural management professional who successfully merges curatorial practice, organisational management and project management skills across the visual arts, social history and cultural heritage sector. Simone has specialist skills in curatorial practice, research, exhibition design and interpretation, programming and venue management background as well as experience in collections management. More recently, Simone has extended her management expertise across the performing arts, public libraries and events sector. She holds a deep understanding of both metropolitan and regional art galleries and cultural services particularly within the local government environment. Simone has developed her career throughout a variety of Creative and Cultural industries, such as Heide Museum of Modern Art, Bonegilla Migrant Experience, Arts Space Wodonga and the Arts and Cultural Unit with Wangaratta Council. Simone was Director of Wangaratta Art Gallery for 6 years where she led and instigated a number of groundbreaking programs and partnerships, including the enhanced funding for the acquisitive $40,000 Wangaratta Contemporary Textile Award. Simone is currently the Manager of Arts Culture and Events for the Rural City of Wangaratta delivering creative ideas, strategic initiatives and inspiring services for regional communities.With a BA in Fine Arts and post graduate studies in Arts Management, Simone is driven by the desire to offer regional communities the required vision, leadership and in high quality programming with inspiring creative experiences for everyone.
