I am currently a second-year student in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at the University of Florida. I take pride in being a resilient and highly determined student who strives to enhance the community through Physical Therapy. Since my enrollment, I have made strides to implement Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion by serving as a leader on the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) committee. Also, I hold a leadership position on UF DPT's Student Physical Therapist Association as the Vice President of the Class of 2023. Within my role, I assist in fostering a positive and healthy culture by acting as a liaison between the PT class and faculty. Additionally, I am an INSPIRE scholar and award recipient currently receiving training to treat children with high intensity needs who have significant disabilities within the field of Early Intervention and Early Childhood. My inspiration to become a Physical Therapist is driven by my desire to advocate for underrepresented communities while fulfilling my goal of becoming a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist.
