I joined Catalyst Corporate Finance in 2006 as Team Secretary. Within a year I became the London Office Manager to a team of six. I have facilitated two office moves and have supported the London office as it grew to 40 employees (over 600% growth) with six permanent support staff. Catalyst was sold to Alantra in 2017. Since 2012 I have been the Managing Partner’s PA, supported the Board Partners and managed the London Office. Being the PA to the Managing Partner involves:Complex diary management using Outlook. This includes scheduling meetings, conference calls, travel and all aspects of the Managing Partners working day; Preparation and distribution of board papers; Extensive use of PowerPoint to assist in development of pitches, business plans, information memorandums and all types of presentation documents for the Managing Partner and the team; Working with the eight board partners for five months to achieve the best deal for the business, taking on a Company Secretary role for this time to achieve the 2017 sale of the business. And much more.The Office Manager role involves:Being responsible for overall administration and organisation of the office, including facilities, supplies, staffing and equipment; Managing supplier relationships and budgets; Researching and negotiating contract renewals and favourable terms of engagement; Achieving financial objectives by balancing office budgets including signing off all office related invoices; Approving supply requisitions and equipment procurement; Recruitment of support staff over the last 12 years and more.Plus, management and coordination of precuring a company to take over old offices in Victoria and finding new office procurement in the City, fit-out and office move as needed. This was a yearlong project and I was the project Manager throughout. (office move and fit out in 2015, expansion and updates 2018)
