About Simone Roper
I am a transitioning educator, with over 5 years’ experience teaching students between the ages of 3-11. During my time in teaching, I have developed a track record of helping students achieve their learning goals and perform to high state standards. During my time in the classroom, I have been successful in helping over 74% of students achieve their student growth objectives. Currently, I am employed as a teacher working with adolescents enrolled in alternative education programs. In this roll, I have the pleasure of teaching students between the ages of 12-18. I had experience working with adolescents of this age during my time at the YMCA and Boys and Girls Club. I've worn several hats during my time with these organizations which include counselor, program director and education coordinator. When I’m not teaching, I love dancing. In 2022, I became a certified Zumba instructor. During this year I intend on fully stepping out of my comfort zone by leading the class rather than just participating!I am making the change from classroom teacher to a role in the instructional tech industry and feel my abilities and experiences would be an asset to any company offering services to improve or shift education into the future. Want to know more about me? Feel free to send me a message. I’m always eager to hear from other LinkedIn users, so I look forward to receiving your message!Specialities: Classroom management, conflict management, student counselling, relationship building, data analysis, curriculum development.
