These tasks are required to address natural and context constraints, such as the need to reuse existing columns plinths or dealing with funnelling effects on the lighting structures.Carried out in team details design and site supervision for a £2.1 million award winning lighting renewals scheme entailing the use of energy efficient lighting and sustainable construction techniques.Produced detailed design for £230,000 energy saving schemes, aiming at the renewals of lighting along trunk roads within Area 4.Designer’s duties in this role have included liaison with other specialists from inside and outside the company as well as with statutory undertakers, local authorities, subcontractors and suppliers, in order to co-ordinate all the activities and the decisions forming the scheme deliverables. Great attention has been paid to sustainability and energy savings in the design process.Following participation to the collaborative planning process (LEAN), co-ordinated the pre-construction stage for lighting renewals and drainage schemes combined into a £1.4 million scheme. The task required the management from concept to commissioning and dealing with appointed architects, contractors and clients. This involved producing presentation and visual concepts, layouts and architectural details, lighting and consumption calculations.The daVinci 57,000m2 retail park project in Rome, required work on the improvement of street lighting and also the architectural features in order to meet local Lighting Pollution standards. Responsible for the design of anti-glare devices, arranging their manufacture and liaising with the local Astronomical Observatory representative as to their location around the development area, giving assurances that their viewing activity would not be obstructed.Responsible for providing concept design, lighting calculations and for car parks layouts, landscape areas and local streets on a variety of schemes in the office. Examples include 600,000m2 mixed use Park Gorkogo in Kiev, a 12,000m2 office building in Bucharest, two retail parks in western Siberia, one 21,000m2 outlet village in Switzerland, Metro Centre expansion in Newcastle and Barnsley town centre redevelopment.

Also responsible for applying best practice from Regione Piemonte Council guidelines to several building schemes.During 2006/07, worked on a €500,000 waste reduction project (Progetto GDO) for Regione Piemonte Council (the client). This followed on from earlier work in 2005 and required assessing and auditing companies which had introduced waste reduction measures under Council grants. The measures were assessed in accordance with the documents produced whilst working for Ecologos in 2005.
