I currently hold a permanent position at ENEA as a scientific researcher specializing in spectroscopy.In my current role, I am proficient in setting up an optical bench using lasers and detectors (spectroscopic cameras, photodiode, SPAD, APD) to perform measurements using Raman technique to detect Improvised Explosive Device within the EXTRAS project (EXplosives TRAce detection Sensor - NATO SPS Programme). I am also experienced to handle, in laboratory surroundings, electronic connection, trigger timing between different device, operating with oscilloscope and make welding.I implemented Python script for TensorFlow models to carry-out person re-identification tools (linux OS) by using AI based 3D camera, as part of the task of INSTEAD project (INtegrated Systems for ThrEAts early Detection - NATO SPS Programme). More then fifteen years ago, I started to write code in Object Oriented Programming (JAVA) and presently I am able to write also in Python, LabView, Fortran, Arduino and VHDL programming language. In the lasts 4 months I have successfully challenged myself to achieve the FPGA programming for quantum applications. I implemented a software (Python) to perform the traces detection for DEXTER project (Detection of EXplosives and firearms for counter TERrorism - flagship initiative NATO SPS Programme), where the software was capable to handle the whole system (laser, spectroscopic camera, motor stages, data analysis, broker communication).I entirely led, for Bridge project (FP7-IDEAS-ERC Programme), the development of a Lidar prototype, for carbon dioxide measurements, across all stages: design, realization and on-situ demonstration. I achieved scientific goals in hostile environment as Etna mount and metro station, during the CO2 flux measurement for BRIDGE and DEXTER Big City Trial, respectively. Within my PhD course I was involved to carry-out ASY-EOS experiment, in nuclear physics domain, to perform charged particles detection with CHIMERA detector for the campaign realized at GSI laboratory located in Darmstadt (DE). ENEA has entrusted to me, as scientific head, the management of the STYX project (STand-off detection of hYbrid threats containing eXplosives - EDA CapTech Programme) with the purpose to develop a Raman stand-off detector of hybrid threats.I prefer to establish friendly and constructive interpersonal relationships and to approach with interest and intellectual honesty different cultural backgrounds, because I truly believe in teamwork as demonstrated in all the collaborations I was engaged (ASY-EOS, EXTRAS, DEXTER BCT).
