About Simone Sawyer, Msph

I am a social and behavioral science researcher who uses psychological theories and practices to help inform various industries. I have a passion for empowering people and serving the community. I have a Masters of Science in Public Health and am currently pursing my PhD in Public Health. My research interest focus on reducing health disparities through community-based participatory research, within the areas of mental, sexual and reproductive health among youth/young adults. I'm also very interested in dissemination/implementation science and the evaluation of community-based programs. My long term goal is to be able to use my life experiences along with my knowledge in research, psychology and public health to make a positive and lasting impact on the world.
