At Furn-niche I have the pleasure of belonging as part of a team that understands the importance of collaboration and relationship building. Our love of creating interiors that offer substance, conviviality and joy are what truly set us apart.My role as director is highly fulfilling on a day to day basis, I am constantly pushing for best practise which in turns allows me to continue developing our team and finding new ways of adding value to our business, and in turn our client’s business. I love being able to take complicated tasks and turning them into processes that are logical and remove all the unknowns. I find as much joy in creating a functional and easy to acquaint spreadsheet as much as I do creating an interior that just makes you feel content to be within the space. A claimed pinnacle of mine at Furn-niche has been working on the Art Series, Fantauzzo Hotel, under the iconic Story Bridge in my hometown of Brisbane. Furn-niche were responsible for the design, manufacture and delivery of the FF&E for the hotel guestrooms and FOH.We worked as a part of the project team alongside the developers, architects and builders from the outset, which truly yields the best results. To be involved in such a noteworthy project practically in my backyard has been such a pleasure. The six-storey, masterful blend of architecture, nature and art was inspired by acclaimed Australian painter, Vincent Fantauzzo. I recently had the thrill of capturing this work with our photographer, some beautiful images of this shoot can be seen below, and of course on the Furn-niche website. I’m truly passionate about ensuring Furn-niche is a progressive and fulfilling workplace and space, spending my spare time tending to the complete jungle of figs, palms and peperomias flourishing up the raked ceilings of our light-filled studio in Brisbane’s Teneriffe.
