Besides designing, I do research, teach and share expertise in architecture and urbanism fields together with local and international actors. I have founded Kaderstudio together with Stijn Elsen in Brussels after successful and committed collaborations with Meta architectuurbureau in Antwerp. My main focus is to co-design resilient urban systems at different scales.KADERSTUDIO has been working for several years now on circular economy and resilience in architecture and urbanism, vectors of both sustainability and profitability. Our team aims at designing buildings and systems that allow for evolution of uses beyond their original function, to meet contemporary and ever-changing needs. We tend to define an open strategy capable of rethinking the concepts of transformation, adaptability and reuse within the specific given framework of each project - or, in Dutch, KADER.KADERSTUDIO offers a dual approach with continuous exchange between practice and research. Together with universities, public authorities and contractors, I am developing research by design for both new development and urban renewal projects to propose evolutive and reversible systems.My architecture journey started at IUAV University in Venice. I then moved to the Netherlands where I obtained a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from TU Delft. After graduation, I started to collaborate with Meta architectuurbureau in Antwerp where I led various design competitions, from housing to large public buildings, in collaboration with other internationally renowned architectural practices and especially with my partner Stijn Elsen.
