I work at the iPSC Core facility of the LUMC since it the start in 2010. Within this facility we generate patient specific iPS lines or control lines on request. We get requests from researchers within the LUMC, but also from external researchers. Over the years we made over 100 iPSC lines using different somatic cell types, reprogramming methods and culturing techniques. At the moment I work on CRISPR CAS in iPSCs grown with feeder free methods.In parallel I have been the Local safety officer (Plaatselijke Arbo Functionaris) since 2006 in my department.I worked at several different institutes on very different topics. I learned that I can adapt quickly, learn new techniques easily and that broadening your horizon is worthwhile.
