The Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator consults and collaborates with management and employees to give and secure necessary information regarding diversity initiatives including the identification of diversity program compliance issues and developing solutions. Duties of the Department encompass developing strategies, governance and oversight methods for effective engagement of small and minority owned businesses and developing and implementing processes and guidance for the diversity programs which includes establishing contract goals and monitoring and reporting compliance. The department also serves as the liaison between our office, other agencies and the community, provides leadership in the planning, development, and execution of strategic outreach, and successfully identifies target markets for projects and events with the intention of touching those citizens, organizations, and affiliations in a meaningful and purposeful way.

• Diversity Coordinator for high school internship program• Mentor to underrepresented high school students• Assist underrepresented high school students in preparation for college• Prepare, correct, amend and file complaints for injunctive relief• Prepare and file court documents and pleadings• Coordinate court dates with judge’s bailiff, and obtain judge’s signature on all orders and entries prepared by the City Attorney’s Office• Calendar court dates and maintain court docket for attorneys• Prepare court files for hearing• Process court files returning from hearing• Maintain and update division data base• Perform legal research such as search deeds, mortgages, leases land contracts, track foreclosure sales, investigate law suits, etc…• Prepare miscellaneous letters, memorandums’ and other correspondence• Maintain communication with court liaison’s from various divisions of the City of Columbus
