There are 3 defining moments that firmly planted me on my spiritual path. None of them can be accurately described in words. They've had a significant impact on my life and how I approach my work as a Wealth Expert and Money Coach.The first was at 10 years old. I riding in the back seat of a car. It was a very familiar route that I'd been driven through many times before. But that day was different. While glancing at a tree, I had an overwhelming sense of being 'one' with it. Yet, I couldn't understand why I appeared to be separate from the tree, when I could see, without a doubt, that I was not really separate from it.The second was at 26 years old. I had the good fortune to meet with a spiritual master who was willing to answer whatever question I had. As I look back on that meeting, he had the better questions for me. He asked me what I wanted. I told him I wanted peace of mind. He then said, 'Yes, and where is peace?' In that moment, I experienced peace. It was so simple, profound and life changing. Most of all, it was life changing because I didn't have to go anywhere, do anything, or think my way to peace. Peace was in being present.The third was in 2005. I was training to be a spiritual life coach. The training retreats were food to my Soul. I was in heaven. But in heaven, hell showed up. While walking in the park, a man called me a racial slur. Looking back on it now, it was life's way of waking me up. Heaven is wonderful, but it's not the full picture. Luckily, I was able to process the experience with my mentor. In her wisdom, she guided me through the fear, sadness and rage of the experience. In the core of rage, I saw Love. That Love swallowed me whole. It was beyond bliss. Since that moment, my life's been devoted to that Love, and supporting others in discovering that Love.All my work -- bookkeeping, coaching or speaking -- is in service to overflowing, abundant Love alive in us all.
