This is the largest Exchange 2007 & Exchange 2010 / Office 365 hybrid environment in Western Canada with 156,000 mailboxes, 47 clustered Exchange 2007 servers, 12 BES 5.0 servers, 3 Blackberry 10 servers, and 8 Enterprise Vault servers. This is a fully clustered environment with 10 Cluster Continuous Replication pairs, 5 Single Copy Cluster groups; load balanced Hub Transport & Client Access Server groups, 2 BES pools and mirrored SQL servers for EV & BES. My role was both hands on and customer facing; I was responsible for the upkeep of all the listed components (and troubleshooting when there were outages), with a primary requirement to maintain solid client relationships with Alberta Health Services stakeholders and to provide leadership and guidance to our junior and intermediate staff. I was responsible for all client communications for all Major Incidents and would report directly to senior management at Alberta Health Services. This is an ITIL environment.

My primary responsibility was to maintain reliable network connectivity and server access and to respond to connection problems or server outages within SLA requirements. My secondary responsibility was to troubleshoot all oil and gas applications. The rest of my time was spent hardening network security, researching and testing new products, building and troubleshooting PCs and laptops, installing applications and helping end users.
