The Dutch Advisory Council on International Affairs (AIV) is an independent body which advises the Dutch government and parliament on foreign policy. The AIV produces advisory reports about international affairs both on its own initiative and on request. Its main areas of expertise are European cooperation, human rights, development cooperation and security policy.

In The Netherlands, we have an independent Commission, the NCEA, providing advice on the quality of (the process of) Environmental and Social Impact Assessments - https://www.commissiemer.nl. At the request of a government authority, the NCEA can prepare an independent advice on the scope and quality of the information in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) or Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). As of January 2023, I am the Chair International - https://www.eia.nl/en.The NCEA does not prepare ESIA /SEA reports, nor does it advise on the decision to approve a project. The NCEA's role is to check if an ESIA/SEA offers a solid basis for public debate and political decision making. This can be done in the scoping, review and implementation/monitoring phases of the ESIA/SEA process. All advisory reports are published and available on the NCEA's website.

Euro investments)- promoted specific fund for UN SC Res. 1325; contributed to UN SC Resolution 2250- Led Cordaid effort to become IATI (International Aid Transparency Initiative) compliant+- Established and grew US Leaders Council with High Net Worth Individuals

The area of jurisdiction of the Dutch Consulate General in Miami comprises >10 US States.My aim was to achieve tangible growth of US-Netherlands trade and investments, Efforts have a lead time before you can see tangible outcomes, but after 2 years as a Consul General I left a clearly different landscape than the one I found upon arrival.

- Created high visibility of The Netherlands - Successfully phased out development cooperation; phased in EU pre-accession support;- Took initiative to increase effectiveness MK Parliament leading to joint / multi party agenda- NATO contact point in Macedonia for 2 consecutive terms - Business development efforts and support cultural sector led to tangible results- Support environmental awareness building; cycling; 1st ever national fundraiser action- successfully set agenda of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Transgender), sexual and reproductive rights (Dutch policy priorities) & domestic violence; and secured budgets- initiated the establishment of Women Unlimited Macedonia
