About Simone Nelson

I thrive on turning challenges into possibilities. Are you thinking, "lots of people say that?" Okay, but I produce magic with grace, humor, and sometimes a rock and a stick. Whether award-winning content, a global media festival in Bali, building a much-needed library in Romania the year after I left University, to even calmly clearing 1000+ people from a theater during a fire. So yeah, I (literally) help "put out fires." Might sound lofty, but have no fear, I can also be Lucille Ball in a chocolate factory making it work while making you laugh. My sense of humor is one of my superpowers. I've worked and engaged with some legendary creatives and brilliant humans who can also be the most exacting. Since I was 18, I have built relationships with key figures and thought leaders like them from Hollywood celebrities to philanthropists, change-making politicians and/or artists to Silicon Valley innovators. I thrive on being a super-connector for all kinds of "dots" between what's needed and who or what might support it creating exciting, new engagements and mutual benefit opportunities. I'm now an award-winning producer and communications executive with a vast network of relationships helping me develop impactful content, experiences, and collaborations. Creating collaborative environments where everyone can succeed is invaluable. Some call it high "EQ," I call it being human.kind.I have led news-making creative and narrative strategies, content creation, programming, and execution for everything from social issue campaigns to films, events (live + streaming), concerts, conferences, performance art immersive experiences, festivals, award shows, celebrity fundraisers, plays to Broadway shows. But, there's nothing better than engaging others to advance social change or developing exceptional, impactful stories (from stage to screen). My passionate commitment to inclusive perspectives while working at the cross-section of entertainment and media, arts and culture, technology, and education has been my modus operandi before there were labels for it like "social impact." I have extensive marketing, partnership, and business development skills given those cross-industry experiences from non-profits to start-up digital media and entertainment companies.I'm always looking for new opportunities to connect with interesting people and communities, drive change, and create transformative and immersive experiences. Let's "Link-In!"
