Payments and billing for EV charging are complex domains. At Road I am helping evolve part of the legacy platform into a scalable and reliable Billing Platform that can support thousands of transactions per day and process complex Billing scenarios. We aim to offer EV charging billing as a platform for our white label customers and enable automation for finance and accounting processes. We are using Go, Redpanda, Kubernetes and typical DDD and event driven techniques.

I am helping HousingAnywhere scale up our Engineering department.

As Director of Engineering I lead the Engineering Department, made of 25 people, and 5 teams at HousingAnyhwere. I took over the leadership after the former VP of Engineering left. I am accountable of the technical vision, architecture, security and quality of the systems that power HousingAnywhere platform.I manage mentor and coach engineering managers and I maintain and evolve the career ladders and career management framework for the engineering team.I manage the annual budget for the engineering team, and I am part of the management team. I am responsible for the technical recruitment, and I act as hiring manager, by developing and evolving our technical recruitment processes.

I came back to HousingAnywhere to lead the platform team. The platform team maintains and develops the main services responsible for the mechanics of the marketplace at HousingAnywhere, which includes management of users and identities, inventory, availability, pricing, bookings, conversations, notifications and internal tooling. For the first year the team was also responsible of the private section of HousingAnywhere web application to manage listings, availability and conversation with prospect tenants. Among other things, I contributed in the creation of new teams to handover part of the extensive domain platform team contributed. Notable work was to move our systems from compute instances to containers running in Kubernetes. I also led the effort to introduce DDD to simplify backend code base so that other teams could contribute and extract domains in separate services when needed, and led the effort to create the public API used by many partners to integrate as affiliate partners, and as property manager partners.We work mainly in Go, using Redis, PostgreSQL and NSQ among others.

At OneUp I was involved in the MyTommy project, a loyalty app program for our customer PVH. I joined the MyTommy team as tech lead, while the product was already released. I created technical vision for the team, consolidated custom agile processes to fit the unique characteristics of the team, developed and maintained the backend system in NodeJS, and designed integrations with the enterprise CRM of PVH. Notable work has been, managing plan and communication with stakeholders, to roll out the program in Germany. At conclusion of the project, I handled the handover of the technical system to an internal PVH team, and coached their tech lead to ensure continuity of the project.We used ReactNative for the mobile app, React for the POS web application running in shops to manage discounts, and NodeJS for the backend and the Restful API.

In my first experience in HousingAnywhere I was senior software engineer, focusing mainly on frontend. I developed mainly in ReactJS and NodeJS. I started using Go during this year, to make contribution on the backend.Notable work I did, was helping migrating the frontend previously built as an MVC in Go to React and I introduced a new architecture and folder structure for React+Redux on the frontend which helped to scale the frontend codebase and now it is contributed by 4 different teams. I also worked on the first MVP of an internal CMS that supports 8 different languages, based on principles of JAM stack. Its evolution nowadays serves all the public static pages at HousingAnywhere.

I was technical co-founder at Konnektid. We built Konnektid from scratch using the following technologies.- Nodejs - NoSql (couchdb, mongodb)- Linux (Ubuntu CentOS)- Docker (docker-compose, kubernetes).- ReactJS (flux, redux, react-intl, server side rendering) - RabbitMQ- GraphQL- Linode- GCPIn the four years at Konnektid I managed and mentored many engineers, many of which interns, and I developed my technical leadership skills, and my knowledge on frontend frameworks like React, and on distributed systems, and Devops.During this experience I also learned how to run business, and how to relate technology to business needs.

Php and javascript software engineer. Notable work, I worked closely with the CTO on the new MTA system MailerQ written in C++. I mostly helped building the first version of the administration interface.

In my work I designed a theoretical framework to map energy consumption to the actual value it has for a company, called the Value of Energy. The framework was applied to storage systems, and it was part of a side project of a new digital archiving solution being launched by KPN.

I was assigned a task to do a feasibility analysis and investigation on the use of Alfresco CMS for a customer of Cubiq.

During my study I worked part time as System and Network administrator for Cubiq's customers, to support my study in Computer Science.I would mainly perform technical customer support, and I managed network and systems (Linux and Microsoft servers) for several SMEs that were running the software that Cubiq developed.

During this experience I had the luck to work in a real datacenter.My assignment was to integrate a distributed wireless network in the LNGS site of the INFN. Other tasks revolved around management of security and efficiency of linux servers and networks for the staff and the research of the laboratory.
