A passionate advocate for education, learning, and helping people uncover their strengths, Simone has nearly 30 years of experience across Defence, fitness, and mental health advocacy. Her journey in Surf Life Saving (SLS) began as a nipper at the Currumbin and Greenmount SLS clubs, and she has since progressed to representing Australia at the World Surf Life Saving Championships in 2022 and managing the Invictus Australia Surf Life Saving team in 2024.As the previous owner of Summit Fitness Studio, Simone helped reshape the way people think about fitness by promoting holistic health and personal well-being. Her leadership in the fitness space combined with her military background provides a unique perspective on resilience, physical and mental health, and community engagement.With extensive experience in fast-paced, complex environments across multiple industries, Simone understands the diverse training and organisational needs of teams and individuals. As an experienced Veteran and VET Facilitator, her delivery focuses on helping people realise their potential and creating impactful learning experiences. Her background in leadership, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) facilitation, and coaching has equipped her with the tools to support veterans and foster community engagement.Simone also serves as a founding board member of FearLess.org.au, where she advocates for mental health awareness and supports individuals and families affected by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Her work emphasises recovery-focused, community-driven initiatives that empower people to thrive.Through a combination of education, sport, and mental health advocacy, Simone is dedicated to fostering personal growth, resilience, and well-being in individuals and communities.
