She began contributing immediately while learning our tools, complex environment, and the extensive governance around what was, at the time, a completely new knowledge domain for her. She quickly became a subject matter expert upon whom USDA relied and included in consultations with their partners across the civilian government sector who were involved in similar projects. In addition, as we moved to an agile framework, Simone became the Product Owner for the PIV Derived solution, a role that would have traditionally been held by a federal employee. Simone contributed in several ways beyond her initial scope, including such things as vendor coordination, process improvement, project management, and agile coaching. Simone worked very well with her co-workers across all functional areas. She demonstrated a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of our solution as well as the business drivers underlying them. As noted above, she learned quickly and mastered complex information in a short time. She always took initiative and tackled new knowledge domains and any issues with enthusiasm. She contributed to solutions that addressed the business needs and improved processes that ensured the continued success of the program.
