Currently Managing Director of Eni New Energy Australia, he has been with the Eni group since 2012.Prior to joining Eni, Simone was working with Sorgenia, a leading European energy company, where he also spent several years on assignment with Noventi Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm in Silicon Valley, California. Prior to joining Noventi/Sorgenia, Simone served as Head of Long Term Gas Supply Development with Edison SpA, one of the largest utility companies in Italy. Simone played a major role in the development of the Adriatic LNG terminal, one of the first offshore LNG re-gasification terminals.Prior to working in the gas sector, Simone was a Business Developer with the electricity branch of Edison SpA, responsible for the development of new green field combined cycle heat and power plants in Italy and abroad.
