As a Software Developer at ECA Group, I was responsible for the development of applications used by instructors to control the real-time position of cadets' ships. This role required a strong proficiency in C++ programming language and expertise in utilizing the Win32 API.During my time at ECA Group, I actively contributed to the development and enhancement of software applications that played a crucial role in training cadets. My primary focus was on creating user-friendly interfaces and robust functionalities to facilitate the monitoring and control of ship positions in real-time.In this role, I collaborated closely with instructors and subject matter experts to gather requirements and translate them into practical software solutions. I worked on various aspects of application development, including design, coding, testing and debugging. Attention to detail and adherence to coding standards were paramount to guarantee the reliability and efficiency of the software.One of the key challenges I encountered was ensuring that the applications could handle large amounts of real-time data and provide accurate ship position updates. This internship provided me with valuable hands-on experience in the field of algorithmic improvement and the practical application of MATLAB.As a Researcher Intern, my primary responsibility was to contribute to the design and implementation of algorithms aimed at improving the computation of the credit system used by the popular peer-to-peer file-sharing software, eMule. This involved understanding the existing credit system, analyzing its strengths and weaknesses, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance its efficiency.I worked closely with a team of experienced researchers and engineers, participating in brainstorming sessions and discussions to devise effective strategies for achieving the project's objectives. We utilized our collective expertise to develop and test various algorithms that could distribute the computation of the credit system across multiple nodes, thereby enhancing its overall performance and scalability.Throughout the internship, I gained a comprehensive understanding of algorithmic improvement and its practical implementation. I extensively used MATLAB to model and simulate different scenarios, enabling thorough analysis and evaluation of the proposed algorithms.
