As project leader I led a team of 5 project managers following PRINCE2 methodologies in supporting LEA advisors, headteachers and ICT coordinators in the 31 colleges, secondary, primary, special and nursery schools within Sandwell, Durham and Barking and Dagenham LEAs. The project delivered significant improvements in learning and teaching practice, leadership and management of change and communications enabling partnerships between schools, parents and communities.My consultative role included providing expert advice on procurement, in particular working with schools and authorities in developing technical and functional specifications for networks, home access and virtual learning environments (Learning Platforms).Additional roles:Facilitating and embedding change management in schools using approaches from the National Remodelling Team.Managing the grant funding for school led innovation projects. Disseminating lessons learnt; organising departmental workshops to inform policy areas such as workforce remodelling, school design, home access, learning platforms and sustainability Creating TCO based Investment Planning Tools which went on to be used by local authorities, broadband consortium and Partnership for Schools as part of BSF.
