Simonetta is an Italian-greek intellectual who researches and consults on "whatever it takes" on the topics that Aspen Institute Italy wants to debate.She is also an archeologue that failed...in other words she is an archeologue who do mainly that profession until 1998, then she opened her life and career to an other kind of experience.Simonetta’s research mainly deal with geopolitical and geoeconomics topics, european and international wealth and enterprises. Since april 2014, she has been appointed Head of Archive, Library and Documentation service of Aspen Italia, part of the international network of the Aspen Institute, based in Washington and Colorado. Simonetta take part at numerous conferences & industry-specific events. She works also for Aspenia - member of the Scientific Committee - a fine Italian geopolitics and foreign affairs quarterly magazine. Aspenia is frequently featured in Sole 24 ore, La Stampa, Il Corriere della Sera, il Foglio and several other publications. Simonetta is board member of AIWA onlus (to be continued.. ;-). She is also the co-founder and head editor of Thesmòs, a Rome and Luxembourg based forty something group, specializing in analysis, scenarios and research to foster the debate between insitutional figures, industrial players and global players. Simonetta received her degree in Lettere Antiche indirizzo archeologico, II University of Rome, Italy and holds a diploma in Biblioteconomia SCV. In her first career as an archeologue, Simonetta served as capo saggio at Chloi, Kabeirion, Lemnos Island, Greece and worked with professors Luigi Beschi and Antonio Giuliano.Simonetta speaks Italian, French, English and modern Greek and reads and understand far better than speaks German and knows a bit of Arabic.She has notions of semitic languages such Hebrew. She is (still) married and lives in Rome, Italy, but stay often in Greece and in Sardinia. She loves sealife, sailing, books and ancient culture of all the world.
