Over 20 successful operator evaluations have now been completed. - Gathered insight into ways to improve the efficiency of the scorecard process by organising a series of lessons learnt workshops. Established a team of four and supporting steering group to develop initiatives expected to save £1m+ per year of resource costs across DfT and operator staff. - Analysed the contract to identify an effective programme and team structure to agree the annual performance fee specification across 8 operators and 50+ individual metrics of performance. Achieved an effective and collaborative approach between DfT, operators and Network Rail which met the tight contractual timescales. - Critically analysed the challenges facing the DfT contracts. Identified the requirement to develop a framework of options providing relief for operators in challenging circumstances such as Industrial Action.
