I managed a team responsible for software delivery, from pipeline management to release. As development manager I was responsible for line management of the teams and delivery of software projects. As tower lead I owned the process, methods and tools used by the team. I worked closely with our Product Owners, who are senior managers in Bupa UK, reporting to the IT Director. The team was organised into five scrums following agile methods. We use TDD, gated check-ins, automated test, automated deployment, continuous integration and continuous delivery to maintain quality and to minimise lead times. The team delivers software to production over 100 times a year. The software the team delivers has annual benefits to Bupa of around £20M a year. The team is regularly singled out for praise by the Bupa UK Managing Director and his executive team.

Programme management of banking products from business case to general availability.

I worked as a consultant to C-Scope to design a mobile application, deliver it to the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store and support it. The application allowed users of pipe and cable locators to add location data to survey results, view surveys on Google Maps and to upload them from the field using Bluetooth, email and FTP. I developed the application using Titanium and Java.
