I also worked closely with scientists and engineers to enhance the HPC environment to dramatically reduce runtimes on critical Monte Carlo simulations and other parallel and distrbuted workloads including rendering and image processing activities.During this time, I oversaw upgrades to MS Exchange, MS SCOM, HP SIM, MS OCS/Lync, Active Directory (AD), EMC Networker, etc, as well as expansions to EMC Clariion, HP EVA and other storage arrays as well as the consolidation of key services to a centralized data centre. Successfully ran the main corporate data centre and attendant facilities, managing a team responsible for day-to-day support of Windows, UNIX, Linux and all storage systems; led improvement projects including the overhaul of backup systems, including introduction of D2D technologies and associated processes.
