Controlled two Quality Management Systems, EASA Part 21 Subpart J & AS9100.

Setup and initiate a Technical Publications Department within an Aircraft Design environment to produce documentation to support in-house modifications for worldwide fleets of aircraft. Re-developed an all-encompassing interactive Supplemental Manual for customers to view alongside their aircraft manuals (WDM, IPC & AMM), detailing all current and historic Customer Originated Changes. Designed new variations of technical publication packages to enable a more simple and precise route of information to the end-user. Also, my QA skills have required me to implement a new Quality Management System for a successful application for AS9100 status.

Contracted to Monarch Aircraft Engineering to help develop a new Quality Management System to aid their introduction of AMOS into the company. During this time I created a QMS pyramid; an interactive graphical tiered device that allowed instant presentation of all company MOEs, procedures, business processes, forms, etc.

Manage the day-to-day running of the department with the intention of bringing in new staff to match work-levels.

Produce working Quality System procedures in-line with relevant CAA/FAA/JAA/EASA regulations and legislation. Amend, analyse, and re-style existing procedures, map in-house business processes in accordance with the quality system. Produce detailed flow charts or similar to increase procedure productivity. Confer with Management and Directors about procedural content and relevant procedural amendments. Major team player in the negotiation of company approvals, namely JARs (JAA [Now EASA] Regulations Parts 145, 21, 147, 66, etc), FARs (FAA Regulations Parts 43 & 145), and more recently implementing the procedural changeover to compliance with EASA Regulations and legislation. During my time as a procedures writer I have devised my own quality system and I have also designed my own style of role-deployment charting.

Produce Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogues, Wiring Manuals, and other relevant Documentation to support in-house modifications to fleet aircraft, namely Boeing 757's and 737's, Airbus A300's, A320's and A330's. Produce illustrations and company Drawings to support in-house modification and manual amendments. Write detailed amendments and test programmes to correspond alongside existing Boeing and Airbus Manuals and Documentation. Write databases to give easy access to information relating to specific areas of the aircraft. Keep abreast of new advances of Technology with a view to improving the distribution and access of Manuals to end-users. Initial set-up and Manufacture of in-house Aircraft Placards/Decals system.

Buying of Commercial parts to support the in-house maintenance of Aircraft, namely Boeing 757's, 737's, and Airbus A300's. Purchase parts including; Aircraft Materials (i.e. sheet Titanium and Aluminium, Exterior Aircraft Paint, Livery Placards, sealant, etc), Cleaning Products, Office Furniture, and general non-approved items. Progress and chasing of such items ensuring that tight deadlines are met. Meetings with prospective representatives with a view to purchasing new parts/items.

Receiving Aircraft parts into the Goods-in system and inspecting all items for completeness. Booking-in all goods onto the manual systems, and to ensure that all paperwork complied with the then-current regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot any queries that were associated with incomplete/incorrect deliveries. Package items after inspection in a safe and secure manner in order to ship items to the Bonded store.
