Launching Charlie's (aka The Better Drinks Group) into Australia whilst keeping their smoothies flying off the shelves back in New Zealand, we ultimately influenced their $129 million sale to Asahi. Our reboot of iconic Kiwi cereal brand Hubbards has seen them regain their place as category leader - a position that’s been held consistently for 3 years plus. We’ve also championed startups such as Rentaholic.co.nz and Little Paddock Ice Cream, taking their respective markets by storm.

A small creative shop with a nose for strategy and media, I’m immensely proud of our achievements at The Surgery. We helped launch Methven Australia from a little unknown into an industry powerhouse, set Salt & Pepper Homewares on their path to meteoric success and also turned iconic Dutch beer Grolsch from a sleeping giant into the beer of choice for independent-thinkers and taste-makers with a growth of 340%. The initial seeding program is still regarded as Australia’s longest running and most successful.Other personal highs include the creation of Reception Copy - a magazine that went on to win international and local accolades. Another milestone was the creative collaboration with world famous communications agency KesselsKramer, developing one of Australia’s biggest advertising exhibitions to date with lectures, documentary nights, and art exhibitions across Melbourne and Sydney.

In this position, I was given the opportunity to shape the agency, people, type of clients we attracted and to drive better creative work. This made a difference as we grew from 4 people through to 20 as well as increasing the agency turnover by 500%.

After joining Hope as an account manager, I was quickly promoted to senior account manager, then account director and then group account director. Working with smaller clients, new business and helping to shape the agency. Achievements were launching the iconic Italian whitegoods brand Ariston Appliances into the Australian market.
