The Division of Medicine & Emergency Care provides acute services for Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with a catchment population of around 290,000.With 800+ staff and combined pay and non-pay budgets of £41.3 million, the medical element comprises 300 beds across seven acute wards, an acute medical unit, an urgent care centre, a fully equipped coronary care unit, a dedicated stroke unit and rehabilitation ward, a planned intervention unit, and a primary assessment area. Clinical specialities include Acute Medicine, Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Care of the Elderly, Critical Care, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Emergency Medicine, Gastroenterology, General Medicine, Pain Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology, and Stroke Care.Member of Executive Management Board.

• Commanded 100 soldiers deployed in the UK and embassies abroad. Responsible for all aspects of unit operation and performance, and management of relationship with the FCO in the UK and overseas. Managed a $5 million budget. • Utilizing the Systems Approach to Training, transformed the unit’s support to the FCO by completely overhauling the recruitment and selection processes and 4-months training program.

• Authored the Agency’s annual Business Plan, Annual Report and Accounts, and government-mandated Key Targets as a basis for annual reporting to Parliament. • Responsible for monitoring and reporting of all Agency performance measures.

• Completed the year-long Advanced Command and Staff Course studying the strategic approach to warfare, defense and campaign planning and staff work. • Presented a Masters degree (MDA) research paper on conflict resolution in the Western Sahara. • Completed optional and part-time Masters degree in Defense Studies with research paper on civil-military cooperation.

• Adjutant / Human Resources Officer: staff officer and advisor to the Commanding Officer of two telecommunications regiments comprised of 900 soldiers in Great Britain and 1,050 in Northern Ireland. Responsible for assignments, manning, discipline, military law, administration and security. • UN Military Observer in the Western Sahara; Liaison Officer with a medical unit in Rwanda following the 1994 genocide; NATO Civil-Military Liaison Officer in Bosnia-Herzegovina. • Second-in-Command of a 120-person telecommunications squadron in Germany; responsible for all administration and command of Operations Team. • Commander: two telecommunications troops in Germany and Northern Ireland.
