I managed the design and development of online courses, good practice videos and other resources for teachers in Ireland focused on the use of digital technologies in teaching, learning, and assessment. I work on all stages of the design and delivery cycle for online CPD supporting the embedding of digital technologies in teaching, learning, and assessment, from initial planning and scoping to course creation, quality assurance, testing, and evaluation.I manage course writers and assist in their upskilling in instructional design, writing and editing standards, image and multimedia work, and the production of storyboards that align with the relevant priorities of the Department of Education and Skills Digital Strategy for Schools.I manage financial aspects of the project including procurement processes for online design, video production, production of multimedia resources and other required services.

I managed all aspects of the development and delivery of the Webwise internet safety awareness programme promoting safer more effective use of the internet by children in Ireland. This initiative involves the design and development of curriculum-specific resources for use at primary and post-primary levels, the delivery of professional learning to teachers, the delivery of seminars for parents, and other awareness-raising activities. I conducted research into children’s use of technologies using quantitative and qualitative methods, monitored emerging technologies and wrote reports for governmental, academic, and other stakeholder audiences. I also raised awareness of internet safety issues through media and public relations campaigns. I was responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key statutory, industry and community stakeholders. I maintain the project budget and report on operational and financial aspects of the project to EU Safer Internet Programme, and Department of Education and Science audiences.

I designed curricula as part of the planning process in the development of e-learning content for the global corporate market. I designed curriculum development plans to ensure the timely production of project plans for all internal and external courseware development teams producing IT Skills and Management online training programmes.
