HMX is an independent creative agency and visual effects company with offices in the UK, US, and India. We support some of the world’s most influential brands with commercial films, websites, and applications that stretch the boundaries of creativity and technology.

As part of the BANNER team, I assisted in pioneering the agency integration between interactive collateral and our offline teams resulting in successful across the line campaigns. My role demanded active involvement in project conceptual stages, through to managing the quality of development whether it be a fully integrated campaign or standalone websites; micro sites; banner ads; eDM’s; online applications; interactive games; photo or video shoots; online film and more. After winning the Autodesk World Wide product launch tender – I had the privilege of directing 3D stills and movies. I actively broadened my knowledge in directing and integrating film online and directed a short interactive filmed based on Online Lead Generation.Clients over this period include: Trend Micro; Symantec; Business Software Alliance; Hitachi; Palm; Sony; AT&T; Freescale Semi Conductor; Autodesk; Cisco; Ernst & Young; Nokia; Computa Center; Ubuntu; Canonical, Seagate.

Upon arrival to London, I joined Ogilvy Interactive as a contracting Art Director servicing the following brands: American Express; BT; Unilever; Digital UK

Having part-owned and fully managed MOJO Creative Business Solutions 2000 - 2005, I have had the opportunity to wear multiple business hats, enabling me to achieved immeasurable business acumen and project leadership skills. I had adopted outstanding communication and relationship nurturing skills proven by the successful ‘preferred partnerships’ that I had managed to establish with most of our clients. I was actively involved in project assessment, documentation and client proposals. Having spent most of my career, working in production environments as a senior designer, I have learned to understand development cycles, procedures, risks, and most importantly timelines. I also have achieved a sound understanding of ‘industry standard’ development languages and tools. My client portfolio included: Media24; UUNET South Africa; UUNET Namibia; UUNET Botswana; UUNET Kenya; WorldCom; MTN; Direct Axis; Prescient Business Technologies.

I worked for MWEB Business Solutions as a senior designer, mostly on e-commerce solutions. The position allowed me to offer creative services to most of their Blue Chip clients: ESP & North Sea Jazz Festival; Hermanus wine village; Musica ; Shopzone

My position at iafrica.com was my first, as a web and interface designer.My roles and responsibilities included design and interface design for websites, intranets and extranets to some of South Africa’s largest brands: UUNET; Korbitec; Vodac; Gauteng Cricket Board; South African Institute of chartered Accountants [SAICA]; Fuchs Technologies; Microsoft South Africa; RAU University; Radio 702

During my two years of employment I was fortunate to have gained immense experience in corporate identity design, brochure design, package design and poster design. In the beginning of 1996 I was commissioned by one of our clients to produce the first digital maps of Southern Africa for the use of GPS mapping software.
