Simon is General Counsel at Hamilton Marino Builders. Simon has qualifications in both engineering and law. He was previously Senior Legal Counsel at Probuild Constructions and prior to that Senior Legal Counsel at Hickory Group, where he worked closely with the Directors, project teams and others with legal matters, and prior to this was Senior Associate in the Construction and Projects team at Maddocks.Simon specialises in construction law and has experience in a mixture of transactional, regulatory and dispute work. While in private practice, he acted for government, private developers, major infrastructure contractors, specialist subcontractors and consultants, advised on a wide range of issues in relation to the design, performance, construction and commissioning of construction, infrastructure and engineering projects.Simon is particularly experienced in the 'front-end' construction/transactional space and has experience with most forms of procurement, including construct-only, D&C, EPC, managing contractor, PPPs and other contractual arrangements.
