Globalteer is a registered UK Charity that works with selected community and wildlife NGOs and projects in Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru and Argentina. We recruit and place volunteers and assist with fundraising, marketing and other operational and organisational areas. I work alongside Globalteer's general manager and with two regional managers identifying, researching and implementing strategies for the long term growth and continued effectiveness of the charity. This includes:*Developing, overseeing and implementing Globalteer's volunteer marketing and acquisition strategies.*Developing appropriate commercial partnerships in order to grow revenue and diversify income streams. *Seeking and securing institutional and private funding for Globalteer's overseas projects.*Ensuring that all of Globalteer's activities are in line with our commitment to responsible and ethical volunteering.*Ensuring that the activites of our remote projects in Cambodia and Peru are in line with Globalteer's strategic objectives.*Promoting volunteer opportunities and raising awareness of Globalteer's charitable work with key audiences and stake holders through PR, advertising and events.*Managing Globalteer's online presence, including website content and social media.*Ensuring consistent and appropriate branding for Globalteer across all marketing and communications channels.

From October 2012 - June 2013 I was the Siem Reap correspondent for popular Southeast Asian travel website, Travelfish.org - researching, writing and uploading travel-related news, features and photographs using wordpress.From March - November 2014 I was the regular hotel and restaurant reviewer and blogger for upmarket Peru travel website The Only Peru Guide, writing travel articles and hotel and restaurant reviews as well as supplying original, high quality photography, and uploading via Wordpress. I joined IPC as Associate Publisher for their market-leading equestrian magazines in 2000, and was promoted to publisher 6 months later. As a publisher I also worked on Country Life, moving back to the equestrian portfolio in 2003. In each of these roles I was responsible for the brand teams and for the P&L of each portfolio. In March 2006 I joined the board of IPC Country and Leisure Media (CALM) as publishing director. In this role I turned Horse & Hound into CALM's most profitable brand and helped its website achieve the highest traffic of all CALM's specialist websites, while also delivering a profit.My key responsibilities as publishing director, in addition to growing profit, included developing long term strategies for profitable growth, managing brand extensions and brand licensing programmes, running events, and managing large and diverse teams across all publishing disciplines.
