In 2004 Simon was asked by the FSA to join the Compliance Consultants Steering Group an organisation formed to facilitate a communication channel between consultancy firms and the FSA and to promote the professional standards of consultancy firms. The Steering Group formed the trade body, the Association of Professional Compliance Consultants and Simon represents the organisation at industry conferences and liaison with the FSA and was the Chair for 7 years to March 2013.
