A new and exciting challenge to put my industry knowledge and technical skill to the test within a dynamic, market leading company.

Sales responsibilities within the Midlands region with a focus on sourcing new business as well as maintaining and growing existing accounts; in parallel retaining a support role for clients in Scandinavia, Malta and the Middle East.With a new and less familiar sales team in the UK I also provided field technical support across the North of the UK, Northern Ireland and the Republic Of Ireland including training on products and installation, fault finding and rectification and sales presentation support to aid colleagues in closing business.

Responsible for sales and support for RISCO's distribution partners across Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Turkey, Greece, Albania, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and the Arab Nations

Responsible for managing an existing base of intruder alarm installation companies as well as well as finding new prospects and converting them to RISCO products. During my time in this position I managed regions including the North West of England, the Midlands, Wales and Scotland as well as supporting many other regions with exhibitions and NSI & SSAIB meetings.As an RSM I contributed to the development of strategies and marketing campaigns alongside my colleagues and saw them through to success bringing on new business and developing new opportunities in other market outside of the traditional security arena.Not just a sales role, the time spent as an RSM also included beta testing, writing manuals and developing training plans to resolve concerns of engineers before they arose.

New to the security industry, I quickly invested time and energy in gaining product and industry knowledge to make up for my lack of experience; I quickly understood the market and the technology retaining newly lost business following a branch closure and growing regions year on year throughout my time.Along with a colleague I identified issues in the marketing of RISCO and altered our focus with better offers and created a more personal relationship with the installation companies with simple touches like personally designed Christmas cards.

A short posting for the New Free Press, I was recruited to develop the advertising sales department of a small free paper.I altered their focus from a week by week approach to a twelve week accumulative plan which allowed us to begin a new week with a foundation to build upon and successfully raised the pricing structure to allow us to appear higher quality and not a budget publication. I also saw missed opportunities with no dating or horoscope sections and found adding them boosted sales from industries such as florists and restaurants. The role was telesales and field based. Unfortunately after only seven months of operation the financial backers pulled their investment and the publication closed down.
