Simon was a match and thanks to the remarkable regenerative power of the liver, he was able to donate a part of his liver to Cassie. On July 12, 2010, Cassie and Simon had a successful living-related liver transplant. With the My New Liver Foundation, they seek to inspire other people to become living donors and save the life of someone who needs a new liver for survival.
