My main task is to edit and set up debate entries from different political actors. To a lesser extent, I also contribute with journalism for the EU portal.

During my MA in European Studies, I spent five months at Altinget in a mixed role being partly a researcher and partly a journalist. Most of my published stories have been on the EU portal, but I was located with the journalists working on the front page and I took part in their work from time to time.

At IKEA I had the pleasure of working in the kitchen sales department as a part-time job while studying. This experience has gained my competencies in important areas for my field even though the job at first glance does not seem relevant to my career path. A couple of takeaways are:- Small talk. We would often sit with the same customers for a couple of hours, which was a nice opportunity to evolve on the art of doing small talk.- Thinking in solutions. Customers would tell about their wishes for their new kitchen, and often something could not be exactly how they wanted it due to either space, economy or other practical issues. Then it would be up to me to find the solutions that they would appreciate the most.The last six months of my employment was spent at a leave of absence due to my internship with Altinget. I left IKEA because of the opportunity at Altinget to get more relevant work experience.

At Medier & Co. I would receive a list of subjects and a number of words to write about each one. This was a difficult task but also very educational as it forced me to get familiar with very different subjects in a short amount of time.
