I was the Co-founder of a sporting goods storage company. The focus was on developing products for storing water craft such as kayaks, canoes and surfboards in both residential and commercial environments. The products were known for their durability and ease of installation.I took our Aquaracks product that had been locally sourced in Australia over to China and worked with factories there to increase our production output and lower manufacturing and raw material costs. After successfully completing this for the Aquaracks range I then designed, prototyped and developed 3 more products which were also produced in China. I oversaw the manufacturing and production of these products with frequent trips to China over the next few years. Eventually we struck a deal with our major distributor - Sea To Summit which meant that we could hand over the entire process to them in return for a split share of the profits. This is an ongoing arrangement that is still in place today.

I founded a custom software development company, based in Singapore with an offshore development team based in HCMC, Vietnam.We provided a full range of software services, from helping startups to build their first application through to redesigning legacy Enterprise systems into modern, cloud-based applications. We had a broad mix of customers, including large Corporates like Oracle and ADP and long established family businesses like Orchard Credit (Car financing).Beyond software development we also advised startups on how best to implement technology into their businesses and we provided UX consultancy services and workshops.Within 3 years we had grown to a local team of 4 with 14 developers based offshore.Eventually, having developed a platform for managing a local Coworking business I left to pursue commercialisation of the software.

KSA Designs was one of the first Kitesurf clothing companies that was distributed throughout Australia and the UK. I invested into and joined the business in order to build the web strategy and design and build an Ecommerce store-front to increase sales and brand awareness.We designed our range in Australia and manufactured the clothing in Bali, Indonesia. Everyone involved in the business was an active participant in the sport and the clothes were designed by and for riders. We were actively involved in a number of major kitesurfing events and sponsored a team of young riders.The brand grew quickly in popularity due in part to our focus on only using the best quality fabric, components, stitching and construction methods. The range consisted of casual clothes to wear on and around the beach, along with clothes specifically designed for use whilst out kitesurfing.In 2009 we sold the business to KiteSurf Australia, based in Noosa, QLD.

During my 4 years running Indigo Tech we worked on a number of mainly web-based software projects and brand identity for a wide range of clients in and around Sydney. We built corporate websites and Ecommerce stores for our clients and designed and produced a wide range of marketing materials.Once established, the company was then relocated to Noosa, QLD where we continued to service local businesses and some larger customers like the Foster's Group, for whom we rebranded one of their local establishments and designed the new signage.

I joined eRecruitment, a funded dotcom startup as the head of development to work on building a new recruitment platform. I hired my team of software engineers and designers and oversaw the design and development of a recruitment matching engine which was the first of its kind. We applied for and were granted a patent for the unique matching algorithms we had developed.After successfully completing the product we launched at a live event which was covered by a number of major publications in the UK. The event was broadcast on CNBC MarketWatch alongside an interview with one of the Founders.Not long after the launch I was contacted by a journalist representing Microsoft who interviewed me for a case study in using their products to create scalable software applications.This role was the stepping off point of my career as an Entrepreneur and after negotiating a contract with my current employers to take some development projects offshore, I went back to Australia to set up my own consultancy business, Indigo Tech.
