Simon Jordan-Hernandez is a graduate of Henderson State University, a liberal arts college, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. During his undergraduate career, he interned with the University of Memphis' athletic department and CHI St. Vincent's convenient care clinic while also working as a Resident Assistant for the university. With a passion for serving his community, following graduation, Simon joined Peace Corps Madagascar as a community health advisor, where he was a part of the National Volunteer Advisory Committe and built a community youth center. After eight years in preventative healthcare, Simon transitioned to youth development with a focus in mental health. Simon is a recent graduate from the University of Kentucky where he earned a master's degree in social work and a certificate in clinical social work. Currently, Simon works on the mental health team for the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver. Simon intends for his furthered education to be used to better serve youth in living healthier more fulfilling lives. Simon's goal is to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and to continue gaining experience in this field. Simon lives for the present moment and never misses an opportunity to make someone laugh and smile.
