I help people deal with the pain of their loss and their grieving so that they have hope in finding their way forward.Grief is the normal and natural reaction to loss of any kind. We can face all kinds of loss during our lives. Some are obvious such as death of a family member, friend or pet. Others may be loss of relationships e.g. divorce/separation, health, jobs, faith, belief, or loss of a home.Other peoples’ reactions to our loss can make it harder. We may be told “don’t get upset, she’s out of pain/ in a better place now”. That might not be what you are feeling, which may be more like “I miss her so much, I feel like there is a hole in my body, I am so angry that he did not go to the GP...." etc.Unresolved grief can sit in our heads and hearts for years and we may experience emotions of sadness, pain, isolation and hopelessness. We can end up withdrawing from people and activities we used to enjoy and spend more time stuck living life on auto pilot or just existing and getting through our days/months/years. Our feelings and their causes can be buried for years.People tell us we need to "let go" or "move on" after a loss, but they don’t tell us how. The Grief Recovery Method® gives us the steps not only to identify why we are feeling as we are, but also to move through the pain and heartache. The Grief Recovery programme is powerful, clear and easily accessible and it will make emotional demands of you – this is an essential element in moving beyond the pain you are experiencing and also why it is important to have my active support and guidance as your Grief Recovery Specialist. The programme is not just talking about your experiences, but taking active steps to address them – that is what makes it so effective.I commit to complete confidentiality in our sessions so you can speak openly and freely and with full trust in the process. I also promise that I will work with you with respect and dignity, without interruption, analysis, criticism, or judgment.
