Stores increased from 22 (May 2002) to 140 (July 2007). (When I joined in May 2002, sales were $18m and the company was in a loss making position.) It was a complete turnaround operation.Relocated main warehouse facility in April 2005 to a 130,000 sq ft unit.Improved customer journey and branding of the stores.For all new store openings - negotiated every lease, fit-out costs, supplier contributions/ free samples etc.Devised bonus schemes for senior management, field management and store staff.Set up “Floors2go Academy” to find and train stars of the future.
