The ethos of BSHP is:-work together to improve and influence how housing is delivered in Birmingham.-act as a single point of contact for the city, partners, and each other.-utilise the combined strength of our collective voice and come together on shared issues.Priorities:Reducing and relieving Homelessness and insecure housing in BirminghamHousing Birmingham Priorities fit with BSHP priorities so - supply and development, neighbourhoods and communities and access and sustaining housing.Have work groups and focuses around, reducing numbers in TA, Older people housing, supported CAT 1 and 2 looking at supply and demand in this and future focus. Also covers some work around aids and adaptations and under occupancy.Crosses into exempt and supported on going work with the pilot, housing, and adult social care.Young people’s housing pathways, the effect of unemployment and welfare cuts on yp and their options as well as Bham having a large under 30 population. Which also feeds into Employment and training across the city how we can link in and support better.Finally, we have the health and wellbeing board which links with social care and public health, wholistic view of housing. -updated BSHP membership and database. Focus on what our members want. Bring back lunch time briefings, really work on partnerships and networking

Member of the Executive team reporting to the Deputy CEO providing lead on delivery of the housing service to 5200 households at an LSVT in Cheshire. Responsible for over 50 staff and budgets and income in excess of £25m. Taken an anlaytical and collaborative approach to shaping the strategic direction of a range of services including housing, customer engagement, leasehold and the corporate legal team. developing positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and partners.
